Coffee Roasting

I started roasting my own coffee for the cart as a collaboration with Low Pigeon Coffee. Dennis is the roaster over there and has been teaching me all about that part of the industry. I enjoy learning about the farms and the regions the coffee is grown. This part of the industry has always intrigued me, growing up in Iowa and seeing where the source of food comes from.

Tropicana Student Housing in IV

I hired my best friend Perry to help me sling coffee for the students living in Tropicana in IV. She went to college at UCSB and we made it a fun morning after we worked. Went over to the COOP, walked around IV, hit the beach. We were hired out on a weekly basis for 2 months. It was a nice treat for them when we would come!

Jalama and The Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy owns a plot of land right on the coast near Jalama. Right where the north current meets the South current. Scientists live on the property and partner with the university to study and plant various species of trees and add to the ecosystem.

Hot Chocolates in Art Class

My partner Annamarie is a ceramics teacher at the Museum of Art here in Santa Barbara. She teaches around 16 students at a time how to throw pottery. I brought Fran to make some hot chocolate art in their homemade mugs.

Paramount Ranch RIP

Mercado Segrado was held every year at Paramount Ranch. This was my first festival that I teamed up with Canyon Coffee for. That being said, it held a very special place in my heart. Unfortunately, the Malibu Woolsey fire burnt down most of the structures 1 WEEK! after our 3rd year at the festival.

Coffee Industry Educatin'

I had the honor of making coffee and teaching LOACOM about women in the global coffee industry. They are an amazing company who works with businesses focused on conservation, social responsibility, and community well-being.
